DYLAN PHILLIPS
Dylan Phillips is a highly skilled skateboarder and LVLUP coach, known for his technical ability, creativity, and strong understanding of athlete development. With experience across multiple areas of skateboarding, Dylan brings a hands-on and relatable approach to coaching athletes of all levels.
Passionate about helping skateboarders progress, Dylan focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, consistency, and technical skills while encouraging athletes to develop their own style and creativity.
As part of the LVLUP coaching team, Dylan works closely with athletes to help them reach their individual goals — from learning new tricks and building confidence to preparing for competitions and progressing to the next level.
Dylan is a certified Skateboard Coach with WADA and Child Safeguarding certificates. His First Aid and CPR trained. Dylan is also a pathway coach for Skate Australia
ZEN DICKSON
Zen Dickson is one of Australia’s emerging skateboard talents and a dedicated LVLUP Academy athlete from the Gold Coast. Known for his technical skating, creativity, and ability to combine complex flip tricks into his runs, Zen has rapidly developed into a strong competitive skateboarder.
A standout result includes a 7th-place finish at the Bowlzilla Open Men’s, with Zen continuing to develop his skills and pursue opportunities at the highest levels of the sport.
Over the past year, Zen has also worked with LVLUP as a coach on and off, sharing his knowledge and experience with younger athletes while continuing to train and pursue his own competitive goals.
Zen is currently focused on his long-term ambition of reaching the Olympic Games, while continuing to develop his skills within the LVLUP high-performance environment.
TREV WARD
Trev Ward is an internationally recognised skateboard coach, Olympic coach, and the Founder of LVLUP. With decades of experience in skateboarding and athlete development, Trev has worked with some of the world’s leading skateboarders across grassroots, elite, and Olympic-level programs.
Passionate about creating clear pathways for athletes to progress, Trev founded LVLUP to provide world-class coaching, structured athlete development, and opportunities for skateboarders to reach their full potential.
Through LVLUP, Trev has built a high-performance environment that supports athletes at every stage of their journey — from learning their first tricks through to preparing for national, international, and Olympic competition.
His coaching philosophy combines technical development, competition strategy, performance analysis, and a deep understanding of skateboarding culture, helping athletes build the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to perform at their highest level.
JAKE THATCHER
Jake Thatcher is an emerging Australian skateboarder and dedicated LVLUP athlete, known for his impressive skills on the mini ramp and his strong technical ability in street skating.
With a great combination of style, creativity, and consistency, Jake continues to develop an exciting range of tricks across both transition and street disciplines. His ability to adapt between mini ramp and street skating makes him a versatile and exciting athlete to watch.
Over the past year, Jake has also worked with LVLUP as a coach on and off, sharing his knowledge, skills, and passion for skateboarding with younger athletes while continuing to focus on his own training and progression.
As part of the LVLUP athlete community, Jake continues to train in a high-performance environment, working towards taking his skating and competitive opportunities to the next level.
CHARLIE HOLLAND
Charlie Holland is an accomplished Australian skateboarder and an integral member of the LVLUP coaching team, having coached with LVLUP for the past 3 years.
Known for his passion for skateboarding, technical knowledge, and ability to connect with athletes, Charlie brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to every coaching session. He works with skaters across a range of abilities, helping them build strong fundamentals, develop new skills, and gain the confidence to progress.
Charlie’s commitment to athlete development and his understanding of skateboarding make him a valued part of the LVLUP coaching family, helping the next generation of skateboarders reach their goals both on and off the board.
ELIZA POLS
Eliza Pols is a dedicated LVLUP athlete, experienced skate coach, and gymnastics coach with a strong passion for athlete development and progression. She has been coaching skateboarding for the past five years, bringing a professional approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others improve.
A highly skilled transition skater, Eliza is known for her dedication, consistency, and technical ability. Alongside her coaching, she is focused on her own athletic development and has set her sights on achieving Olympic-level skateboarding.
With experience as a gymnastics coach and growing up with three siblings, Eliza is naturally comfortable working with younger athletes and understands the importance of patience, encouragement, and positive mentorship.
Eliza brings a unique combination of athletic ability, coaching experience, professionalism, and dedication to the LVLUP community, making her a strong role model for the next generation of skateboarders.
PENLEY PLACE
Penley Place joins LVLUP from Victoria, Australia, spending a term with us to train alongside and be coached by some of the best in the sport as he continues his journey toward competing at the highest levels of skateboarding.
Penley recently represented Australia at the 2026 World Skateboarding Championships in Rome, gaining valuable international competition experience alongside the world’s best athletes. He continues to work closely with Trev Ward as he prepares for upcoming World Skate events.
An exceptional transition skater, Penley brings impressive skill, consistency, and a mature approach to his training. His commitment to progression and competition makes him a fantastic addition to the LVLUP athlete community.
Outside of his own training, Penley also enjoys coaching in his spare time and sharing his knowledge and passion for skateboarding with other athletes.
We’re excited to welcome Penley to LVLUP and look forward to supporting his continued development as he prepares for the international competition circuit.
VAN WARD
Van Ward is an emerging Australian street skateboarder and dedicated LVLUP athlete, known for his technical ability, creativity, and commitment to progression.
As the son of Trev Ward, Van has grown up immersed in skateboarding and high-level athlete development. He spends a minimum of three months each year at LVLUP USA, training alongside world-class and professional skateboarders and coaches as he works towards his dream of reaching the highest levels of the sport.
A passionate street skater, Van is constantly developing his trick selection, consistency, competition skills, and overall performance. His time training in the USA provides him with valuable exposure to elite-level skateboarding and an environment that challenges him to continually improve.
Van has also worked with LVLUP during school holidays as a junior coach, sharing his knowledge and passion for skateboarding with younger athletes. This experience has helped him develop valuable leadership and coaching skills alongside his own athletic journey.
With a strong work ethic, competitive mindset, and ambition to achieve greatness, Van represents the next generation of LVLUP athletes working towards their goals on the international stage..
